Easily recognizable by its slender body and long, needle-like beak, the Halfbeak (Habarali) is a hidden gem in Sri Lankan seafood. Its firm, mildly sweet white flesh is incredibly tasty. It is excellent when marinated and deep-fried with a crispy crust, or gently simmered in a mild, fragrant coconut milk curry (kiri hodi). This unit is for approximately 500g of fresh whole fish.
