Pan-Seared Garlic Butter Prawns

Pat the jumbo prawns completely dry with a paper towel and season them lightly with salt and black pepper.

Ingredients:

  • 500g Imalsha Jumbo Prawns (Peeled and deveined, tails left on)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Pat the jumbo prawns completely dry with a paper towel and season them lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the prawns in the skillet in a single layer. Sear for exactly 2 minutes on one side until they start turning pink.
  4. Flip the prawns, reduce the heat to medium, and immediately add the remaining butter, minced garlic, and chili flakes.
  5. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes, continuously spooning the melting garlic butter over the prawns.
  6. Remove from heat, squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the top, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
